Boating4Fun is for everyone interested in any aspect of boating - whether with their own boat, or those interested in buying or hiring a boat, perhaps for the first time, or even for those just interested in a boat trip. It was compiled by Clive Edwards, a Yachtmaster and former Auxiliary Coastguard with many years experience of boating on coastal and inland waterways of the UK and Europe.

So, whether you’re interested in cruising around the inland waterways, or around the coast, you should be able to find what you’re looking for here - and don’t forget, this site isn’t just for boat-owners, it also includes information of interest to anyone thinking about buying a boat, orlooking to hire a boat for their holidays, for those just looking to take a boat trip, or even those who’d like to walk or cycle along the canal towpaths!

So what does Boating4Fun actually do, apart from acting as agents for boat sales and boat hire? Firstly we publish our own guides, including our comprehensive introductory guides to the Waterways of Britain & Ireland, the French Inland Waterways, and the waterways of other European countries; We also publish smaller guides, available on line, to The River Thames, The Broads, The Fens, the Canal du Midi, and waterways of Brittany, Burgundy etc as well as our own “Boating Basics” guide for beginners.

Boating4Fun and Boating in France are also UK distributors for the comprehensive “Guides Fluvial” series of specialist navigational guides to each of the French waterways.
